The Vickers Armstrong aircraft is now in the National Museum of Science & Industry, London; they have a gallery in the building with a number of aircraft from their flight collection on display. The one displayed is the actual aircraft that won the 1931 Schneider Trophy contest at an average speed of 340.08 mph, and the Schneider Trophy outright for Britain. It has the manufacturer's markings of S1595. On the same afternoon of 13th September, Flt. Lt. Stainforth flew the other S.6B S1596 and attained a world record of 379.05 mph. On 29th September, he flew S1595 to a new new world record of 407.5 mph.
